Mad Hatter afternoon tea is my favorite tea in London.
London has many places for afternoon tea including some unique ones and the Mad Hatter Tea at the Sanderson Hotel is my favorite.
Set in the Atrium of the hotel, this afternoon tea makes you feel like you just stepped into Alice in Wonderland’s book.
The menu is hidden inside the pages of a book.
Start the Mad Hatter afternoon tea by selecting your personal tea from these miniature bottles with playing cards that describe each tea flavor.
The table décor is set in black and white with mismatched china sets and king print tea pots.
You will find quirky details like this musical jewelry box filled with sugar cubes.
Soon you will be served deliciously warm scones with jam and clotted cream.
Next comes the tray of tea sandwiches, savory appetizers and sweet treats.
Notice the details put into the savory treats and sandwiches.
My favorite of all are the sweet treats, of course.
How cute are these grass filled pots with meringue hearts, marshmallow mushrooms and chocolate candy worms?
Or the detail on these fun desserts?
You will also get a “drink me” potion.
You finish off, if you still have room, with this ice cream dessert. The honeycomb candy and edible pansy complete the look of perfection.
All together it is a fun and delicious way to enjoy an afternoon out.
