Why you will want to have a Farm Stay in England on your next vacation.
After a long 10 hour flight this farm stay was the perfect start to our two week vacation in England. The smell of fresh grass and fields, the peaceful sounds of the country, and the cutest farmhouse ever complete with farm fresh food. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
Walking up to the farm house we were greeted by the sound of a peacock protecting his turf.
Isn’t this the cutest farm house you’ve ever seen? I felt like I walked straight into a Country Living magazine photo shoot.
We were treated to farm fresh eggs, bacon, a loaf of bread and more. According to my hubby nothing beats fresh food from a farm.
Here are a couple of other fun details found in the kitchen.
After settling in we decided to wander outside and walk down the lane to see what other treasures we could find.
We stopped to admire the horses on the farm.
That evening we went to the local pub, The Mallet Arms for dinner. We fell in love with the pubs in England because they are more than just a place to eat. They are a socializing place for all of the locals, and everyone was so friendly.
My hubby tried the Pork Belly and really liked it.
I stuck with the Mallet Burger, which is the best seller of the pub, topped with a bleu cheese glaze.
Eating at a pub is very different than places in the U.S. Here you order at the bar and they bring it to your table. You then pay at the bar when finished, but tipping here is not required or expected like it is back home. Here is a photo of their menu board.
The next morning we woke to this view. Isn’t it magnificent?
I think I could have stayed here forever.
